What personal information do we collect?

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

Additionally when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers [[INSERT ANY OTHER PAYMENT TYPES ACCEPTED]]), email address, and phone number.  

To process transactions and keep you updated on your orders, information including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers Paypal address, email address, and phone number is obtained when you make or attempt to make a purchase through our site. We refer to this information as “Order Information.”

- Newsletter - When you sign up for the Sighh newsletter, we collect your email address, and your first name where necessary, in order to send you updates on the latest launches, sales and back in stock information as well as , we will not use this information for any other purpose. If you do opt to sign up for our mailing list, at any time you can opt to unsubscribe by getting in touch to have your details removed or amended, or follow the link below:

What do we do with the information we gather?

We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations).  Additionally, we use this Order Information to:

Communicate with you;

Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and

When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.

Those that buy from our Sighh x The AB Method collaboration will also have their order information (name, email address, purchase data) accessed by Alice Benham Ltd:

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

We do not pass your information on to anyone, and without your consent, you will not receive any further marketing emails from us. We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.

If you do opt to sign up for our mailing list, at any time you can opt to ‘unsubscribe’ or get in touch to have your details removed or amended.



How do you get my consent?

When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your payment details, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return an order, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.

For our mailing lists, all subscribers are sent an email to confirm their consent before any newsletters are sent.

Individuals who place orders containing items from the Sighh x The AB Method collaboration will also receive helpful check ins and tips via email from Alice Benham / AB, which can of course be opted out of at any time.

Your rights

If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below.

Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.

Shopify

We host our online shop on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products to customers. All your data is stored through Shopify's data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. All data is stored behind a firewall on a secure server.

Third Party Services

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.

For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.

In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located a different jurisdiction than either you or us. So if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.

As an example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, then your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act.

Once you leave our store’s website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service.

N.B: "Third Parties" are only ever programmes or websites used to help run our business, such as Pay Pal (when you opt to pay via Pay Pal) or Royal Mail (in order to generate shipping labels for your parcels) Your data is never "sold" to anyone for our gain, or passed on for any third party to use for their own marketing purposes.

We hold all your information on our system, you can contact us at any time to ask us to remove this information, which we will otherwise retain for our records.

By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.
